On Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, Oranmore Maree GAA One Club’s U8 teams took part in an exciting football blitz hosted by Salthill Knocknacarra GAA at the Prairie, Salthill.

We had 42 players across the 6 teams - split into Bulldogs, Tigers, Wolves, Sharks, Lions, and Vikings - that played 4 games against Salthill/Knocknacarra, Corofin and Moycullen.

With the GAA's 'silent sideline' policy in effect, the focus remained on fun, development, and positive encouragement. Although no scores were kept, the games were packed with positive energy and great teamwork, creating an exciting atmosphere for all the players and supporters involved.

Well done to all the young players, coaches, and organisers who helped make the event a success. It was a fantastic day of football, and the Oranmore Maree U8s were great ambassadors for their club.

Looking forward to seeing this talented group continue to develop in the future!!
