Congratulations to our victorious minor hurling team who defeated Clarinbridge on a 2-13 to 1-12 scoreline. The match which was played infront of a huge crowd the majority from Oranmore-Maree was a tight encouter as expected. Oranmore-Maree started brightly with goals from a Rory Burke free and Ryan O Donnell from play giving up a 3 point lead at half- time on a 2-8 to 1-8 scoreline. The second half saw both defences on top as scores were at a premium. Clarinbridge tried on numerous occasions to get a goal but our defence stood tall to see us win by 4 points. The result bridged a 33 year gap since the Minor A title was in Maree and Oranmore, it is only the third time in history our club has won it.

Special mention must go to this group of players and management team who put in a massive effort over a number of years. The lads have won under 15, under 16 and now minor hurling titles in the past few years. Special mention must go a number of under 15 hurlers who were not part of the panel but trained with the team.
