All roads led to Duggan Park on Thursday last where the Under 16 hurlers faced an unbeaten Ardrahan side in the County final.
On a glorious sun-drenched evening, The first half was very intense with the sides trading points to finish the half with Oranmore Maree up by the narrowest of margins. Fine scores from Caelan Coleman (2pts), Gus Lohan (2pts), and Tiernan Grealish (0-1) were ably assisted by the unerring free taking of Jack Cormican and Matthew Furey.
Sean Martin, Ryan Cleary, and Barry Keating provide a strong rear guard to keep the much-spoken-about Ardrahan attack at bay.
The second half began like the first at a high tempo with scores hard to come by. Matthew Furey landed three long-range frees and our Player of the Match Jack Cormican chipped in with 9 frees and a couple from play.
Gus Lohan (4pts) Steven Ruane (1pt) at midfield, Dara Mill, Jonah Halloran. Oisin Roberts and Michael Leahy all played their part up front with Fionn Fahy, Shay Rabbitte, Niall Dawson, and Shane Burke getting on top in defence.
Leading by five points with time running out, Ardrahan goaled from a free but it was too little too Late. It was a deserved win for The boys who led from start to finish and did the club proud. Joint captains Matthew Furey and Dylan Melia accepted the cup on behalf of the squad.

Well done to all involved as it takes a huge effort from so many people to allow the players the chance to get to finals and perform so well.
