Oranmore Maree started well with points from Niamh O’Connor, Sheenagh O’Donnell and Roisin Coleman but Abbeyknockmoy came right back into it to tie it 0-3 to 0-3 midway through the first half and then hit the front with a goal on 20 minutes. Another Roisin Coleman point made it 1-3 to 0-4 at halftime.
In the second half Abbeyknockmoy struck again and had a decent lead but 3 points and a Goal from a 21 yard free, all from Roisin Coleman, kept us in it and with scores tied at 2-4 to 1-7, a long range shot from Labhaoise Keane found the net. Abbeyknockmoy mounted a huge effort to get back into it, with Caoimhe Coleman making some tremendous saves. They brought it back to 2pts with a late free, before exceptional defence by the Oranmore Maree backs resulted in a free out and the final whistle.
