Folks,

The following is an update on some key developments in the Renville Project:

a. Last week HorganLynch completed the preparation of the full tender package for the Main Works Contract for Phase I. This has now being issued to the Dept. of Sport (LSSIF) and Croke Park Infrastructure Committee for review. Once they have completed their reviews, we will be able to issue to tender to the contractors that have been qualified from the first stage of the tender process.

b. We have started enabling works to prepare the site for the main contractor – clearance of fences/walls on site, clearance of access lane, etc.. See below some pictures of the enabling works.

c. We received a letter this week from the LSSIF confirming the updated grant allocation of €2.52m and confirming that we had passed the next stage of their approval process. The final stage is to sign a grant agreement, which will can only be done after we have completed the tender process for the Main Works Contract and have finalised costs.

d. Earlier this month we also submitted a new planning application for dressing rooms for the project. The plan would be to have a separate building with 4 dressing rooms between the car park and the 4G Astro pitch. The Club Pavilion will be a separate building to be developed in a future phase of the project.

It is great to finally see some work happening on the development of the site – by the end of the year our players should be playing on a state-of-the-art full size GAA 4G Astro pitch – the first one in all of Galway.

Kind Regards,

Renville Project - Management Committee
