PDP: There are over 600 players registered with the PDP programme at the U13, U15 and U17 levels, but unfortunately there are nowhere near enough coaches to ensure this is ran successfully. Therefore we are asking clubs to ask their coaches at these age groups to come on board with their help and expertise. It is a programme that is ran over just 6 weeks, culminating in a blitz in Dublin for the U17 and a blitz in Connacht for the U13 and U15 groups. Coaches will be provided with training so it is beneficial to coaches as well as players and allows coached to return to their clubs with new coaching information and education.
Please ensure you circulate this to all your club coaches and hopefully we will get more bodies involved.
Social Media Promotion. We know from some of the excellent club social media posts that there a good number of club personnel/club PRO's out there who are proficient in social media postings. We would really appreciate if one or two of you could offer some help and assistance to the county board in this regard. Promotion of our sport requires a multi disciplinary team in different areas and we are finding it difficult to cover all areas to maximise our promotion. All help really appreciated.
