The Naomh Mhuire U14 teams concluded their final group and play-off matches in the Galway LGFA U14 League this week.
To date, Naomh Mhuire U14s teams have played 39 league games across the 5 squads. The Blue Squad played an epic Division 3 league semi-final against Moycullen last week and lost out on free kicks. The Orange Squad also played a thrilling Division 8 league cup semi-final versus Glinsk with Glinsk progressing to the final. The girls can have no regrets after their valiant efforts and never say die attitude.
The U14 finals take place on Saturday July 13th with the following Naomh Mhuire teams playing: • The Red Squad play Caltra Cuans or Corofin in the Division 1 Shield Final in Caltra at 2.30pm. • In the Division 4 Cup Final, the Green Squad play in Killannin v Killannin at 2.30pm. • Moycullen is the venue for the White Squad in the Division 7 Shield Final at 4.30pm.
While reaching finals is not the objective at this age, it has served as an indication of the development in the Naomh Mhuire girls’ skills, confidence and teamwork through the league. Best of luck to all the girls in their respective finals.
