On Friday we launched our hugely exciting fundraiser WINAHOMEGALWAYCITY.COM in Keanes Bar & Restaurant (Kudos) with Ronan Lardner and Galway Bay FM (see some pictures at the end of this message). This is to raise funds to build new our new Dressing Room Building at Chubb Renville Gaelic Grounds. The building will cost over €1m to construct and this will be funded from the proceeds of the Win-A-Home Fundraiser and a bank loan.
The Dressing Room Building will be built at the front of the 4G Astro, is over 500m2 in area and will include 4 large dressing rooms, a large meeting room, smaller meeting room, public toilet area, referees room, etc.. Construction work will start in the next couple of weeks.
The prize for the draw is a magnificent 2-bed ground floor apartment worth €330,000 in Woodquay and is beautifully finished & furnished with Eyre Square, Shop Street, the Long Walk and the Salthill Promenade all on its doorstep. This is a hugely important fundraiser for our club and we need to get the full backing of all members to make it a success – every ticket sold reduces the bank loan we will have at the end of the project.
