The Austin Stacks Invitational U14 Football Tournament 2026 took place on Saturday 12th September. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first Lee Strand Tournament first played back in 1986 with Oranmore Maree competing in the competition for numerous years.
Oranmore Maree won both group games against Kerry's John Mitchels and Listowel Emmets to top their group and qualify for the Cup semi final.
They met local Tralee club Na Gaeil Gaa in the semi final in which they came out winners after a very strong second half performance.
The team then met the home club Austin Stacks in the final which was a very tightly contest affair from start to finish with the teams level at full time after an Austin Stacks 2pt free to tied the game. Extra time ensued where Oranmore Maree proved to be the stronger coming out the better of 5-05 to 2-12 scoreline.
Many thanks to Austin Stacks GAA club for hosting our U14 team this year and for many previous years.
