The One Club Executive has agreed a mandatory winter training break across all juvenile teams in Hurling, Football, Camogie and LGFA.

Juvenile training and activities will finish no later than the end of October 2026 and will remain paused until the new season begins in February 2027. Any juvenile team no longer involved in competition will cease training no later than 1 November 2026. Teams in competition in early 2027 that need to restart earlier will aim to give players a three-month winter break where possible.

The decision recognises the workload our juvenile players carry through school, homework and participation in multiple sports. The break gives players time to rest, recover and return refreshed for the 2027 season.
